SRS – Sibling Relationships Study

Researchers at the University of Sussex are investigating the experiences of siblings of children and young people with Down’s syndrome.  We are looking for families with a single child with Down’s syndrome and another child between the ages of 12-16.

What the study involves for participants:

The study will be completed entirely by post so that it is as convenient for participating families as possible.  For families who take part, there will be one questionnaire to be completed by a parent/guardian/caregiver of the children, which is likely to take twenty minutes to fill in, and one questionnaire to be completed by the sibling themselves, which is likely to take ten minutes to fill in.

The aim of the research is to better understand the strengths and needs of siblings, in order to inform care providers and support organisations in the future.

Your participation is vital to helping us to better understand the experiences of these siblings.
