My name is Dr Kelly Burgoyne. I am a Research Associate at University College London, and previously worked as a Research Psychologist at Down Syndrome Education International in Portsmouth, UK. My colleagues at UCL and the University of Lancaster and I are carrying out a research project to look at the ways in which parents and preschool children participate in shared reading activities. We are seeking to recruit 10 preschool children with Down syndrome and 10 typically developing children (aged 4-6 years) and their parents to take part in the study.
I am writing to enquire if you would consider sharing the attached information with parents with whom you are in contact through your services. The attached leaflet provides some initial information about the project and contact details for parents to register their interest and find out more about the study.
